"The Weekly Dish" August 29, 2014

Gooooooooooooooood morning!

The Weekly Dish radio show is ready to serve you this beautiful Aloha Friday.

Maui's finest music man Louis Kanoa Kukaua visited us in the studio, and he had a load of lovely stories and gifts to bestow upon Shawn Michael, Jack Gist, the listeners and I.

Gomega and him are releasing a new record next week, and recently shared the rad video for the single, "Higher Ground." Kanoa is just a joy to know and love! Very proud of him.

Also, the brilliant and beautiful Em White stopped by our airwaves to share about TEDxMaui 2014, an exciting learning experience on Maui at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center on Sunday, Sept. 28. If you don't know about TEDxMaui and TEDx in general, you're missing out. Visit http://tedxmaui.com/ for all the details.

Our bon-vi-vant Paul Janes-Brown delivered his "Let's Talk More... " segment and the hilarious and handsome comedian Chino LaForge stopped by to give us the goods on latest of his wild and wonderful work on Maui.

Visit www.mauiweekly.com for the community goods, and thanks Three's Bar & Grill for the gift card giveaway.

And, of course, we served the latest ZEPTEMBER dish and Maui music notes.

Tune in live on Maui every Friday at 7 a.m. via KAOI 1110Am/96.7Fm, stream on www.kaoi1110.com and late-risers can listen to the recording at www.theweeklydishradio.com after the show.

Thanks for listening the last four years! We appreciate you.

Aloha
Trish

Aloha!

It's another lovely day in paradise!

Birthday boy Jack Gist was at the wheel, and brotha Shawn Michael and I chatted with the one and only Murray Thorne on The Weekly Dish airwaves this morning.

Don't miss the fantastic visual and musical experience this weekend at The Mill House Maui as he revives his Pink Floyd presentation with "In the Flesh."

Do NOT miss this show! You have a chance Friday and Saturday.

We gave away some tickets to this trippy and terrific rock exhibition.  Search "In the Flesh" event on FB for more info.

Our groovy good friends, Rama Covarrubias and John Michael Jelliffe of the Freeradicals Projekt, cruised down the hill to hang with us, sharing the scoop on their Valley Isle tour, which kicks off tomorrow with SKULL FEST at Charley's Saloon & Restaurant.

We gave a gift certificate to Charley's, an awesome Pa'ia locale that's been in our small business family for years. We really appreciate all the goodness they're serving up on the North Shore. Thanks to Jonathan Herman, Jade Lauren and the Charley's fam for all the support and great times!

Yum Yum Beast performs tonight. Go give Matt Del Olmo, Justin Morris and the boys some love!

Our bon-vi-vant Paul Janes-Brown with his "Let's Talk More... " segment, and we have the latest
from the Maui Weekly newspaper.

Follow us via www.facebook.com/theweeklydish, and thanks for listening live every Friday morning on KAOI talk radio.

TGIF!

Another wonderful and informative episode this morning!

Thanks to my tubular team of rockin' intellects, Shawn Michael, Jack Gist and Paul Janes-Brown. Very proud to present The Weekly Dish with them every Friday for the last four years.

Much love to our special guests, artists Shane Robinson and Jodi Endicott from the Hui No'eau's latest exhibition, and the awesome Megan Kanekoa to talk story and share about tonight's show, The Sausage Act with The Minorities at the Wailuku Coffee Company.

We gave away some groovy gift certificates to Manoli's Pizza Company and Wailuku Coffee Co., reported on the Maui Weekly and dished on all the upcoming music and arts events the Valley Isle has to offer.

Our bodacious buddy Uncle George Kahumoku Jr called in again to give us some love, and we shared all the goodies from our small biz 'ohana.
