"The Weekly Dish" April 26, 2013

Miss last week's wacky and wonderful edition of The Weekly Dish radio show? Catch up here!

Shawn's back in town, so we're back in action online! Maybe one day, I'll revamp my tech skills.  :-9

A big mahalo to last week's special studio guests, including Brendan Smith of Requests, PR princess Kristin Hettermann and funny guy Chino LaForge.

Today's edition (Friday, April 26) was colored with caring charisma and intriguing stories from our delightful special guests. There's so much going on across this island, all the time! I need to clone myself sometimes...  ;-)

Much love to Don Lane of Metamorphosis, Aloha Shares Network's Anu Yagi, and our friends Candice Seti and DJ Playwfire Ono of Ambrosia for joining the morning adventures. Also, our PR gal pal Kristin Hettermann called in to disclose the goods on next Saturday's soiree for a fantastic new foundation.  She's a wonder woman of Upcountry. Happy to feature her recently on The Weekly Dish.

We caught up with O'ahu's Sing the Body, and played a few of their tracks off their new album "Contrast," including "Pbjy" and "Lovers and Friends." Don't miss this exceptional duo on Maui, live tonight and tomorrow night at Stella Blues. They are gooooooooooooood.

"The Weekly Dish" April 12, 2013

Hi!

It's another glorious day here in paradise. I hope wherever you are in the world, you're smiling and feeling groovy.  :-)

Speaking of groovy, my co-host Shawn Michael (aka Mr. Groovy) will be on va-ca to LA next Friday to celebrate the second anniversary with his lady, Fasha (aka Jem). Does everyone have nicknames here on Maui?! Haha

Congrats to the adorable pair! So happy they both get to travel and experience some Mainland fun.

My loyal engineer Garry and I can hold down the fort while Shawn is away, but I thought it would be cool to welcome an array of friends and visitors to keep the hour cruising next Friday. Confirmed as of now are creative minds like Don Lane, a James from MOTHxp, music advocate Brendan Smith of Requests, and the lovely Miss Kristen Hetterman, a PR/marketing power ranger on Maui. This island is full of creative souls, and we're thrilled to share them with you.  :-)

Today's show was indeed another delightful recipe for Maui's community and entertainment news. Thanks for listening to KAOI 1110Am/96.7Fm each and every Friday, and for following us on this Website and via social media at www.facebook.com/theweeklydish
.

Mahalo to our small business 'ohana and this morning's special guests, including Tim Wolf of Akama'i Movies for the Ha'iku Ho'olaule'a, painter and graphic design talent Patrick Dunne and recording artist Kimie. Each individual had a lot of great info to offer and personality flair.
