"The Weekly Dish" February 28, 2014

It was such a groovy cruise this morning on the KAOI airwaves with friends and puppies. I'm really getting used to having Mr. Gibbs as part of The Weekly Dish radio 'ohana.

For real, it's been strange days lately here on Maui, and today's show was a nice boost of community, arts and goodwill spirit that we all needed.

We were very blessed to welcome some of the island's super heroes to the show this morning, including our sweet buddy, Vanessa Oat Ghantous. She presented the scoop on ROOTS school's renaissance fair fundraiser tomorrow, and what's up with the Maui Roller Girls' upcoming bouts.

Kirk Michael Surry and Nio Kindla of Grow Some Good delivered a vitamin rush with green juice gifts, and let us all in on the details of next weekend's Grow Some Good: Taste of School Gardens event at the Hotel Wailea.

To wrap up this morning's serving, we welcomed dynamic duo Deborah Vial and Caron Barrett to the studio for some lively and intriguing talk story. Love these gals so much!

Hear them in action tomorrow night at the Fundraiser for Charli Scott and Moreira Monsalve at Casanova and next weekend at the Maui AIDS Foundation's Mardi Gras Maui event.

Thanks for the support.

Have a fun and safe weekend!
