"The Weekly Dish" May 16, 2014

Thanks for tuning to The Weekly Dish radio show, live each and every Friday morning on KAOI 1110Am/96.7Fm.

Shawn Michael and I welcomed groovy daddio Travis Rice and some benevolent ladies from the Ha'iku Community Association to the studio to update us on the renovation of the Kalakupua Playground. Learn how to volunteer for this project here https://www.mauiweekly.com/page/content.detail/id/532396/Ha-iku-Community-Association-Seeks--Collaborators--to-Help-Rebuild-Kalakupua-Park.html?nav=68 .

The bold and beautiful singer/songwriter and fashionista Erin Smith joined us live from O'ahu with the scoop on her upcoming album, her entertainment column and the fabulous adventures she's enjoyed recently. We love Erin! Many Maui folks know and love this rockin' babe, and wish her nothing but the best.

We played "Broken Down Busted," a new track from this summer's release. Maui is so excited to have Erin and The Throwdowns hit the stage on Saturday during the Maui Brewers Fest. They go on at 6 p.m. Our friend Lia LIVE is featured as well. Good times to be had!

Our small biz family was jamming with updates, Paul Janes-Brown dished out the arts and theatre goods, and we delivered the latest from community publication, the Maui Weekly. Check out the fliers and images below, too.

Listen to today's recording here. .

Thanks for tuning in. We appreciate it.

Please follow us regularly online at www.facebook.com/theweeklydish , and hopefully we'll see you at 7 p.m. next Saturday, May 24, at Power Up Comedy's "Comedy Circus at The Mill House. This is the first of what may be many shows at the revamped Maui Tropical Plantation locale produced by The Weekly Dish, and it's exhilarating to experience what an array of acts can do with the space. (See https://www.facebook.com/events/288204264691034/?source=1 for more details on Comedy Circus!)
Much love and Aloha. Keep it real.
